Colorado Chapter, the second oldest chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015! Our members have continually contributed their talents with the Denver-area community, EGA’s Rocky Mountain Region, and the national organization. In fact, Colorado Chapter’s legacy includes several nationally and internationally prominent teachers/designers, highly regarded directors/leaders of the national EGA Board, and, unique to EGA, three national seminar chairs (all of whom were noted for their ground-breaking success).
In keeping with EGA’s purpose, studying the art of embroidery through an active program of education, our monthly general meetings feature hands-on programs and informative presentations that expand our skills. We encourage our members to share their accomplishments; our Show and Share Table display generates many ooohs and aaahs. Members frequently exchange stitching tips and readily offer problem-solving ideas.
